backstory

Per Celi:
THE UNDERGROUND CRIME ORGANIZATION SCENE IS FAIRLY LARGE AND SOMEWHAT DIVERSE BUT TWO SPECIFIC GROUPS ARE THE LARGEST, and although they aren't 100000000% tied to the eight families, it was certainly founded by members of the families.

#1, There's the Cordionna family, named after a poisonous flower that causes a person's legs to crumple up like an accordion which reflects the ruthlessness of said family

  • Aloe and Eriks were born to parents involved in the Cordionna family, and thus were basically raised in it from day 1
  • When the twins were 6 years old, their parents were killed by the family for snooping and gaining intel they were not supposed to have. The family obscured the real cause of death from the twins
  • The family raised them as wards from that point on. Both were given the number designation #0721, the only members to share a number
  • Aloe was assigned Lily of the Valley (Convallaria) as his flower and was referred to as "Val" within the family. Eriks was assigned Lavender (Lavandula) and went by "Van"
  • The twins worked for the family into adulthood because that's what you do when you're wards of the crime underground
  • At 22, Aloe accidentally uncovered the truth of his parents' murder, as well as the information they were killed for -- incriminating info on Cordionna's current leadership
  • He decides to turn vigilante and use his skills to kill his way through said leadership, because that's what you do when you were raised as a child criminal

  • ALL SAID, the twins maintained civilian identities and attended school as children. No one knew details of their home life or upbringing
  • Aloe attended university to study medicine and pharmacology, eventually opening his own apothecary shop (also selling flowers. he likes flowers.)
  • Sometime during his tenure at university, he was scouted by the Acidia family for his Blessings, and took the name Aloe
