A reason it is so bad is because my Rune intersects with the demon's conduit directly. To avoid getting technical: it causes both physical and magical pressure, whereas the conduit mainly causes psychic pressure.
Your power will always cause me some pain, I think. But if I have warning, I can remove the Rune -- or wear the other one I have, which is meant to be set into the hand instead -- and that will decrease the effect significantly.
