Glances at baby Charon like "hello???" ]

[the steps have paused outside the door. darkness still obscures the narrow view outside.]

baby Charon just shakes his head. like. this kid is terrified actually]

a hand reaches around the door. it's...a pretty normal hand, all things considered. black-gloved like Charon's typically are, black sleeve, white cuff. but there's a stink of blood that comes with it, rolling and intense]

[ Ok but he's feeling kinda defensive here at this point.

He crosses the room to pull the door the rest of the way open. ]

[the reaching hand disappears. there's just darkness filling the doorway, and a distant red star, and an echo of laughter

someone grabs his wrist from behind. they have very small hands tho so it's probably the baby]

[ GLARING AFTER WHATEVER THE FUCK THAT WAS ]

[ Turning back to the baby ]

[SHAKING HIS HEAD]

[with a 'fair is fair' air, even though this is clearly all WAY over his tiny head]
